Marker line

The marker line is used to set the current frame position (which is involved in some operations, for example, creating a new segment) and the work area which determines the range of frames for composition playback and rendering:

Current
frame

The current frame position is set by dragging the current frame marker [A]. Clicking the left mouse button at any point inside the marker line also moves the current frame in the indicated position.

To move the current frame marker, you can use the following hot keys also:

  • PAGE UP or CTRL +  to move it to the left,

  • PAGE DOWN or CTRL +  to move it to the right.

Work
area

The work area is defined by the position of the marker [B], which you can drag by the tips as well as by the middle grip. In the first case, the beginning or the end of the work area is positioned. In the second case, they change synchronously in such way that the length of the work area is unchanged.

Pressing the B key (menu Trackline|Begin Work Area) defines the current frame as the beginning, and the N key (menu Trackline|End Work Area) as the end of the work area.
