Mask editing mode

This mode is intended for editing the mask of the segment's key frame.

To switch to the mask editing mode, click the key frame button [A] of the segment the mask of which you want to change, or select the desired segment in the Trackline panel, then choose Display|Edit Mask (M key) or click the mask editing mode button [B] in the Display Mode panel. These means are enabled only if a segment is selected.

To paint the mask manually, there are tools Brush and Paint Bucket available in the Tools panel when the View is in the mask editing mode.

There is also possibility to load the mask from a file in the 1-bit BMP format (menu Segment|Import Mask...) , or save the mask you created to a file (menu Segment|Export Mask...). Corresponding buttons are available in the Tools panel.

In the mask editing mode, the View always displays the mask that corresponds to the selected segment and its key frame. All display settings are available (excluding the mask display that you cannot turn off in this mode), as long as the playback commands that allow you controlling consistency of the mask with neighbouring underlay frames.

Leaving the mask editing mode is done manually by releasing the key frame button of the segment, or by choosing appropriate menu items of the Display menu or clicking corresponding buttons in the Display Mode panel, or automatically when the segment looses selection or enters the processing queue.
